David Cole.
Varsity Head Coach
Biography:
Coach David Cole comes to Laurel, following a two year stint at Beachwood. During his two seasons at Beachwood, the girls went from a winless varsity record in 2022 (only beating a JV team) to last season being ranked #7 in NE Ohio Division II and both doubles teams qualifying for Districts. He also coaches the Beachwood Varsity boys.
Coach Cole teaches clinics and private lessons at Mayfield Village Racquet Club during the winter and runs the Highland Heights and Beachwood summer recreation programs. He also plays on several USTA teams.
Finally, Coach Cole’s younger daughter played varsity tennis at Shaker Heights high school and also played Division III college tennis.
